Background

Booking a mahjong room shouldn't take a dozen WeChat messages.

In many cities, entertainment mahjong is a popular way to relax with friends. But traditional booking still relies on phone calls, walk-in signups, or ad-hoc WeChat groups — leading to several issues:

  • Opaque information: hard to see real-time room availability, pricing, or promotions.
  • Low efficiency: repeated back-and-forth confirmations cause gaps or double bookings.
  • Fragmented experience: payments, points, and coupons live in different channels.
To address these pain points, we designed and built an online smart reservation system. Through a WeChat Mini Program, users complete the full journey — store selection → room booking → payment → play tracking → engagement incentives — all in one place.

Store Reservation

Problem

Customers had to call or message stores directly to check availability and book rooms, inconsistent info, slow responses, missed reservations.

Solution

In-app reservations: browse stores on a map, view details, pick a room and time, pay with WeChat Pay, get instant confirmation.

Impact

Sub-2-minute bookings, reduced staff workload, and higher booking accuracy.

Scenario 02

Personal Data & Points

Problem

Users had no centralized way to track playing history, performance, or rewards, with little incentive to come back beyond the game itself.

Solution
  • Personal dashboard: monthly stats, win-loss, and total playtime, all auto-synced with the booking account
  • Points center: earn points by playing, inviting friends, or sharing
  • One-tap redemption: convert points into coupons and free-time vouchers
Impact

A self-reinforcing loop that lifts engagement: data motivates repeat play, points reward it, and invite-to-earn drives low-cost acquisition for stores.
